Angels School Lunch Program

Sadly, many families are doing it tough at the moment and some children are going to school with little or no lunch.

The Angels School Lunch Program sees participants prepare and deliver lunches to schools, to be distributed to those children that need it the most. We don’t know or judge individual family circumstances. We just want to work towards every primary school child in Bundaberg having a good, healthy lunch (Ok, we may put in a treat every now and then. Does it really hurt smile)

How you can help…

We welcome any items suitable for school lunches – poppers, fruit, yoghurt, snacks and cheese are just some idea. NO NUT OR NUT PRODUCTS.

Items can be dropped into our Second2None store at 45a Walla Street, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm.

If you are a school that thinks you could benefit from this program, please contact us!

Angels Community Cupboard

Take when you need, give when you can. That’s the philosophy of our Community Cupboard. No, you can’t do your weekly shop here, but you are very welcome to take enough items to get you through for a couple of meals.

Our main objective is to assist people when they have limited or no food and really need a hand. The Community Cupboard operates solely on donations and is open 24/7 for people to help themselves. No red tape, no judging – just trust and respect.

How you can help…

Donations of non-perishable food, fresh fruit and veggies (turnover is quick and nothing goes to waste) and hygiene products are always welcome. We prefer donations to be made through our store so we can check and process but if it is more convenient, you can donate straight to the Community Cupboard. Products should be within the use by date and sealed for the safety of our customers.

If you are a business, school or sporting group, why not get together and start a food collection. We can deliver and pick up boxes at your convenience.

Angels Delight Soup & Coffee Bar

As an extension to our Community Cupboard, we have established a Soup and Coffee Bar located conveniently in our Second2None store.

It is our intention for people to help themselves to a cup of homemade soup or a cup of coffee or tea and biscuits whenever needed. At times, we may even have a yummy slice or piece of cake available. Open during store hours (Mon to Fri, 8am4pm), please pop in and say hi and don’t forget to help yourself.

How you can help…

Donations of food or even a home-cooked soup or baked goods are always welcome. For information on Food Safety and Preparation tips, please take a look at the below guidelines.

Note – A list of the cooking ingredients used helps us inform people with food allergies.
